50 Cent’s Iconic Reebok x G-Unit Sneakers Are Finally Making Their Long-Awaited Return
I couldn’t tell you the last time I listened to “Stunt 101,” the lead single from G-Unit’s 2003 debut album, Beg for Mercy.
But at least once every few weeks, I’ll randomly find myself thinking about one of the song’s most memorable lines.
“I’m fresh off the jet, then I breeze to the beaches,” Lloyd Banks rapped midway through the song’s second verse. “Blue Yankee fitted, G-Unit sneakers.”
Even though Banks hadn’t yet released his 2004 debut album, The Hunger for More — and even though he recorded hundreds of lines before and after “Stunt 101” better than this one — that line always stuck with me for whatever reason.
I’m apparently not alone, either.
The line obviously references the Reebok x G-Unit G6 sneakers released in 2003, back when 50 Cent was flying high off the success of his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, and embracing his newfound celebrity. Over the last 20-plus years, countless people have used “Blue Yankee fitted, G-Unit sneakers” to refer to the shoe online.
From Facebook to Reddit to X, the line has been repeated over and over again. More often than not, it has been in the context of “When is Reebok going to bring the G-Unit sneakers back?”
Everyone who has ever thought about, typed, or rapped this now-legendary Banks line is finally getting their wish this week. Just a few months after 50 and Banks’ fellow G-Unit cohort Tony Yayo strongly suggested the G-Unit sneakers would be making their triumphant return, Reebok made it official.
The Reebok x G-Unit G6 sneakers dropped on August 20, 2026, for $130. They’re available at Reebok.com and select sneaker stores.
But Wait, What Are We Supposed to Wear With G-Unit Sneakers in 2026?
I know this is a website dedicated to dad shoes, and technically, the Reebok x G-Unit sneakers are not dad sneakers.
But I would bet my bottom dollar — or maybe more appropriately, my last 50 cents — that a whole bunch of dads who used to run around in these shoes in the early 2000s will be lining up to buy them.
I would also venture to guess that at least a few will get the G-Unit sneakers home and say, “You know what would go GREAT with these? An XXXXL G-Unit Clothing Company T-shirt — with a pair of big, baggy, 42-inch G-Unit jeans to match!”
Hell, I wouldn’t even be shocked if Reebok bringing the G-Unit sneakers out of retirement motivated a handful of my fellow 40-somethings to dive headfirst into midlife crises.
Remember how free you felt driving around in your 1995 Ford Contour back in 2002, bumping 50 Cent Is The Future and scaring the you-know-what out of all the Boomers in your neighborhood?
Fast-forward that mixtape to the 6:40 mark below. Close your eyes. And tell me you don’t get that gut-wrenching feeling in the pit of your stomach that only a good, healthy dose of nostalgia can give you.
Wouldn’t it be amazing to go back to that time, even if just for a few hours?
Well, hear me out: You have free will! So there’s literally nothing stopping you from going back to “The Future” by:
- Buying a beater car (am I the last one to find out that you can literally order cars at Amazon now?!)
- Putting on a fresh, new pair of Reebok x G-Unit sneakers — with a vintage G-Unit outfit to match!
- Calling out of work so you can drive around in your beater with your G-Unit sneakers and clothes on, before heading home to play Madden and drink Mountain Dew for the rest of the day, just like you did back in ‘03
The only problem with this idea? While G-Unit sneakers are making their triumphant return, G-Unit Clothing Company isn’t! And because it’s been nearly 20 years since the brand disbanded, there’s a pretty good chance your once-beloved G-Unit gear is long gone.
But fear not. I’ve got an idea!
Where to Find Old G-Unit Clothing to Wear With Your New G-Unit Sneakers
When I first wondered, “Where can I buy G-Unit gear in 2026?” I started my search — where else? — at Amazon.
I was a little surprised by how little G-Unit stuff it has. Save for a bunch of G-Unit albums and mixtapes, and far too many recreations of those weird tanks 50 Cent used to wear, G-Unit was nowhere to be found.
Next stop: The G-Unit Brands, Inc. website, which bills itself as being “For Everything 50 Cent and G-Unit.” It’s the exact opposite of Amazon, in that “everything” might actually be an understatement.
I don’t know who logs onto the internet and thinks, “I need a 50 Cent mousepad/smart key organizer/Rubix cube,” but they’re all for sale on the G-Unit Brands site! And those are just a few of the things I found within the first 45 seconds.
“Everything” also includes just about any and every 50 Cent-related album, quote, or saying splashed across the front of hats, T-shirts, jackets, tracksuits, bomber jackets, and more. This had me feeling hopeful.
Maybe I was about to stumble upon some long-forgotten and overlooked G-Unit gear covered in dust that would really make your new G-Unit sneakers POP (or better yet, “POP — POP-POP-POP-POP-POP-POP-POP-POP! AH, SON, PULL OFF — PULL OFF!”).
But alas, it wasn’t meant to be.
This plain black G-Unit hoodie on the G-Unit Brands site was probably the closest I came to finding something 50 Cent & Co. would have worn in 2003.
That’s when I realized I needed to get creative.

I normally wouldn’t advocate paying $225 for a beanie. However, it was a relatively rare promo beanie from the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ movie — and it comes with an even rarer GRODT money clip attached to the back!
It’s sort of ironic, since you probably won’t have any money to actually put in it after spending over $200 on a beanie. But I’d still argue that the “dad nods” the beanie and money clip get you will make them well worth it.
